Despite the pure and natural nature of our skin and body products, some people react or are allergic to entirely natural substances – for example the highly alkaline treated water in cities alone can exacerbate skin conditions.
Whilst allergic reactions are extremely rare and unexpected, Marblehead Soap Company cannot be responsible for allergies to products and resultant ailments if any. We strongly suggest that you patch test* (see below) any new product before its continued usage. If any redness or itching occurs do not continue use.
Apply a small amount of new product to clean skin inside the elbow or behind the ear. Cover and leave for 24 hours. Human skin changes daily, affected by emotions, diet, hormones, and the climate, and as with all cosmetic products, what suited you yesterday may not today, even though our formula and ingredients have not changed at all, and unfortunately we cannot be responsible for this.
It is especially important to undertake this patch testing if you are prone to sensitive skin, eczema, and psoriasis to avoid flareups.
We suggest that you choose a product to suit the season, i.e. a richer, more protective cream in the winter, lighter in the summer.
Marblehead Soap Company products are 100% natural, and in most cases food based, hence edible, although unpalatable! Most ingredients are readily available in the garden or pantry, so you can feel good about putting them on your body.
Marblehead Soap Company uses only renewable, and when possible certified organically grown, ingredients which are responsibly harvested. We support certified organic farmers/growers or who practice sustainable agricultural methods and harvest responsibly in the wild.
In Store Pickup Policy
Any In Store Pickup Orders not retrieved within 7 Days (unless other arrangements were made at the time of ordering) will be restocked and cancelled. Refunds will be processed upon order cancellation. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 5% of the order total for abandoned In Store Pickup orders.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

We currently have auto-shipping options setup only for US destinations. If you are not seeing your country at checkout for shipping options, please reach out to us via the Contact Us form on our page, we will sort it soonest. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight and size of any item will determine the overall shipping rate, as well as the destination region. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next quarter pound.
